New Parents Place is a parenting publication for first-time and new parents — gear reviews, postpartum honesty, insurance basics, daycare decisions, and the practical day-1 stuff nobody warned you about.

New Parents Place launched in 2009 from a kitchen table, written by a small group of brand-new moms passing notes about what worked and what didn’t. Two parenting generations later we’re still here, still focused on the first 1,000 days — the part of parenting where every decision feels enormous and the marketing aimed at you is the most aggressive in the consumer landscape. We cover the gear (strollers, monitors, car seats, the bottle wars, sleep training equipment), the financial decisions (life insurance once you have a kid, 529 plans, family health-plan changes, daycare math), the postpartum-recovery realities, and the daily-life logistics. We write for both the expecting and the brand-new — and we’re honest about which products are worth the money and which ones are paying influencers to be everywhere. We accept affiliate relationships across baby gear, life insurance, family-friendly financial products, and daycare/au-pair platforms. Every recommendation is one we’d send a friend at 2am during the first sleep regression.
